I am Drew Scherber, and I’m running for Wright County Commissioner to bring experienced, common-sense leadership to District 4. As a lifelong resident of St. Michael and a graduate of STMA High School, my commitment to this community runs deep. I have dedicated my professional life to public safety, serving the Wright County Sheriff’s Office for over 30 years. Beyond law enforcement, I believe in giving back to the institutions that shape our future.
I have served on the STMA School Board for over 20 years and was recently honored as a member of the Minnesota School Board Association All-State Board. My experience also includes serving as a St. Michael City Council member, giving me a unique understanding of how our local government, schools, and safety systems intersect.
Outside of public office, I am a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Michael Rotary Club. My approach to governance is simple: lead with integrity, maintain absolute transparency, and foster collaboration to get things done. I’m running to ensure Wright County remains a safe, prosperous, and well-managed place for all our families.
